Awakening the Inner Fire — My Journey with Kundalini and Why I Now Hold This Space for Others
Holding a sacred space for others to heal is one of the most beautiful paths I’ve walked — it’s a role that feels deeply aligned with my purpose and heart.
What Is Kundalini Energy?
Kundalini is not just a concept or a theory. It is a living force, often described as our inner life force energy — the source of transformation, intuition, and spiritual awakening. In yogic traditions, it is visualised as a coiled serpent lying dormant at the base of the spine. When the time is right — often triggered by deep healing, meditation, trauma, or grace — this Kundalini energy when awakened, it rises through the chakras, bringing profound physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts.
Importantly: this energy cannot and should not be forced. True Kundalini awakening arises from within, in divine timing. When the body and soul are ready, the energy will begin to move.
From my understanding and my own experience, Kundalini is our life force energy — and it is also deeply connected to our sexual energy, which is the energy of creation itself.
This is why, during awakening, we can feel waves of bliss or ecstasy: the same energy that creates life begins to rise and move through us, not for pleasure alone, but for deep transformation.
It’s sacred, powerful, and profoundly intelligent. When this energy is awakened, it doesn’t just affect the physical body — it awakens creativity, intuition, healing, and our connection to the divine.
Awakening Kundalini means beginning a profound inner journey of healing, alignment, and shedding all that no longer serves.
My Personal Story — A Spontaneous Kundalini Awakening
Looking back five or six years, I can see it all much more clearly now. I was ready — not just for healing, but for the unknown. It was my divine time to wake up and begin doing the work I came here to do — consciously and with intention.
What unfolded felt like a deep death and rebirth of the self. It wasn’t easy that time. I didn’t know anything about this energy. I didn’t know anything about spirituality.
This is the first time I’m openly speaking-writing about it — and I feel it’s time. This is my story, my truth.
I kept this part of my journey sacred for years. Not because I was hiding, but because it was so profound, so personal. But more and more people around me, across Ireland around the world are now going through intense healing and spiritual transformation, and many don’t understand what’s happening to them. They think they’re breaking down — but in truth, they are transitioning- awakening to something much bigger, to the truth.
And I want them to know: you are not alone and you don’t have to do this alone.
During my own experience, I felt deeply loved, guided, and protected by unseen forces. I called them angels or guides. It was the first time I felt them so clearly — and now I know, they are always with us.
This process — though frightening at times — brought me into the most honest relationship I’ve ever had with myself. Through surrendering to the unknown, I discovered a love that had always been inside me. A new way of seeing, breathing, and being in the world.
It was the hardest, most beautiful experience of my life — and it changed me forever.
In a nutshell, it began with intense emotional purging. Fear. Anxiety. Grief. Sadness. It was all so confusing — nothing in my external life was wrong, yet these strong emotions lived in me for over a year or two. To ease the panic attacks and anxiety, I began doing yoga and practicing a few moments of stillness each day. Later, I came to understand — this was meditation. I didn’t understand at the time — why were such heavy emotions rising up whenever I sat in silence?
Now I know: it was clearing. A deep cleansing of everything that had been held inside my being for my whole life. Emotions, memories, energy — all rising to be seen, felt, and released.
And then, one day, during one of those quiet 5–10-minute meditations, the energy came: surges like a waterfall at the base of my spine, an incredibly fast heartbeat. It was frightening at first so I stopped it. But one day, I felt it was time to stop resisting. And when I surrendered — that was the first time I experienced full-body ecstasy.
A few days later, it happened again while I was lying in Shavasana. This time, it lasted the entire night — waves of ecstasy, heat, and vibration moving through me. The next morning it was my 39th birthday. Speaking about divine timings - xixi.
The energy was so intense I had to stay in bed. It felt like fire rising through my spine, clearing emotional blockages and making space to reveal who I truly was.
I felt my third eye and crown being drilled open, and I also experienced my heart gently unfolding — like a flower blooming from within. There was so much love. I cried rivers. I felt love, I felt gratitude. I felt fear. I shook. I surrendered. My body was flooded with emotions, and with a fire I had never felt before, rising from the depths of my being.
For nearly two weeks, I lay in bed as this process unfolded. I wasn’t ill — I was in transition. My breath changed. My hearing became sharper. Colours looked different. My sensitivity deepened. And then, I felt it — my soul. A tangible presence of love in my heart, peace, and truth. I had touched something eternal. Something what I cant describe with worlds. Pure unconditional love, pure bliss.
It was the most intense, most beautiful, and soul-shifting moment of my life. But integration took time. This was not just a "peak experience." It transformed how I lived, breathed, and moved through the world. It is still happening, deepening.
But it showed me something I now hold close to my heart:
We are our own guru. The truth, all the wisdom is within each of us.
I could write a whole book about this — but this is the shortest version I can share. And if it helps even one person feel less alone on their journey of Kundalini awakening or energy healing in Meath, in Ireland or beyond, then it’s worth every word.
Why I Became a Kundalini Activation Facilitator
Years after my own personal experience I felt the call to revisit this field. I had touched it, lived through it, but didn’t yet know how to work with it for others. That’s when I trained as a Kundalini Activation Facilitator.
This field that we learn to open is not about forcing energy or creating awakenings. In fact, I couldn’t do that even if I tried. You can’t make someone awaken. What I do is hold loving, safe, non-judgmental field of high vibration where your own higher self decides what you are ready for that moment.
Nothing is pushed. Nothing is imposed. It’s all about surrender and willingness to let go.
What Happens in a Kundalini Activation Session?
Sacred Altar
Crystals and candles set the tone for a safe, grounded space — a gentle container where deep healing and transformation can unfold.
Each session begins by lying down on a yoga mat with eyes closed. Loud, high frequency music supports the space. I open the field and become one with it. Im holding this frequency by doing what feels right. I walk and dance around the room and sometimes sing or using sounds and also a light touch or intentional movements to help activate and guide energy — always with consent and care.
What unfolds is completely unique for each person:
Some feel subtle energy moving through their body.
Some feel peace and deep relaxation without any movements.
Others experience emotional releases — tears, laughter, joy, grief.
Some feel their body move on its own: hands shaking, hips swaying, spontaneous yoga-like poses, or even singing or toning.
Some go into deep meditative stillness, seeing visions or colours.
All of it is valid. Nothing is forced or performed. Your body, your energy system, and your higher consciousness know exactly what to do.
You may sit up, stand, or even feel called to dance. All of this is part of the purification process.
We are not trying to replicate someone else’s experience. We are allowing the body to discharge what it no longer needs.
This is not a performance. It’s not a technique. It’s not guided meditation.
Every session may feel different, depending on the depth of your surrender and your willingness to let go.
It’s like peeling the layers of an onion — an unfolding, a deepening, layer by layer. As each layer softens, more of your true self is revealed.
It’s a surrender to a field that meets you where you are.
How Kundalini Energy Healing Can Help You
This practice can support people who are:
Holding unresolved trauma or emotion in the body
Feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves
Wanting to deepen their spiritual journey
Longing to feel more alive, present, or embodied
Seeking clarity, truth, and inner guidance
It can bring:
Emotional clarity and healing
Heightened awareness and intuition
A stronger sense of purpose and embodiment
Connection to soul, life force, and inner truth
But it’s not for everyone. If you’re looking for quick enlightenment or a dramatic breakthrough, this may disappoint. True transformation can be slow, embodied, and personal. There is no goal here. No fixing. Just allowing.
A Final Word
This isn’t about awakening your Kundalini on command. That is not my role, and that is not safe. What I do is hold the space, open a vortex for the this sacred energy in which your system can begin to purify, soften, open — and if it is aligned, to begin to activate.
This is a first step. You are always welcome to return for regular Kundalini energy healing sessions in Meath and soon in other areas - if this work resonates.
You are your own healer. I’m just here to hold the field.
With love,
Andrea
